After a busy March, we had a chance to slow down a bit in April. We celebrated a few birthdays in the boy's family all at once and got to catch up with some people we hadn't seen in a while.

Earlier I said we got to slow down a bit in April....good thing, 'cause May was a whirlwind!!
We started the month with a MUCH anticipated trip to Louisville for the 138th annual KY Derby!

The boy and I took our first ride on the MegaBus! It was a success.

Friday night was the perfect night for some block-partyin'! One of our Louisville friends co-hosted a block party in his neighborhood. Fun fun fun!
We started Saturday off on the right foot....mimosas and a TON of pictures!

Although Derby was quite a long day, we had just enough energy to go out for a bit afterward, too. Gotta get your fill while in town for the biggest weekend of the year!
