Mint To Be

Long time no see, huh? I've been laying low this past week and weekend. I had a busy week following my return from vacation....and I have a busy week coming up! I've also been busy with my hands. Filling orders from Etsy and friends is keeping me busy a few evenings each week (hence my lack of blog posts lately).

This past weekend I made a few wreaths with yarn to add to my Etsy shop. Here's the 1st one which I made using Mint Green yarn. I love the color and I think the small size would look great on your office door or even on a bedroom door (think--little girls!).

What have you been up to this weekend? Any big plans for this coming week? I'm off to catch up on some of your blogs. Happy Sunday (Oscars) night!

Cold Hands Warm Hearts Swap 2011

Hey guys! Hope you're enjoing this beautiful day! I hope it's just as pretty where you are as it is here in TN. The high today will be close to 70 (insert surprised face).
Speaking of the weather, I particpated in this year's Cold Hands Warm Hearts Swap party--hosted by Sandy a la Mode and Much Love illy! As a part of the swap, we each get a new pair of gloves to keep our hands [and heart] warm, along with a few other goodies. Even though I didn't get to use my gloves this morning, I have been using them a lot lately! They're especially great for driving : ) I've been looking forward to showing you the goodies that Mindy from [Marigold Road] sent my way....sooo, here they are!
I was so excited to get this package..
And so was the dog! Hehe
A cute card with a nice handwritten note, my fav!
It was great getting to know another blogger!
We left the house to go to the Christmas light event
and I wore them as soon as we left!
Both the headband and the gloves : )
Non-iPhone pic to capture the details! Love the green!
They're as soft as they look!
Aren't they cute? Mindy made the headband [here's her Etsy shop] and the gloves came from another cute little Etsy shop [Makings of Shanna Tice]. Be sure to check both of them out...you might find a cute last minute Christmas gift idea : )

P.s. Check out the rest of the swaps here!

Blogger Field Trip : Story of My Life

Better late than never, right?? Yesterday I talked about catching up and I wasn't kidding! I had a ton to do and when I got home, it didn't get any better so I'm still a teeny bit behind. Regardless, here goes!
Today we're visiting Jenni from Story of My Life. She's another blogger who has inspired me to keep up with my writing and posting. She’s consistent (it's important!) funny (her introduction includes words like sarcasm and sass-of course I was hooked from day one!), stylish and she can take a mean picture (on either side of the camera)!
Jenni blogs about everything from home decorating to Twilight (and everything in between!). While I enjoy reading most of my favorite blogger’s stories, her short ones about her neighbor are pretty funny. She’s also got a really cute love story--believe me, you want to read this one : )
I love her style!
Jenni is also an inspiration to me because I see her meeting her fellow bloggers and having a blast! She does blates (here, here and here) and gets to know the girls she is friends with in the blogging world! Of course I want to do that too, seeing as one of my main goals of blogging is to meet new people and build friendships!
P.s. Not only does she have a seriously cute blog, but she also has an Etsy shop where she shares some of her pretty photos!

One of her beautiful photos for sale in her Etsy shop!
Be sure to hop over and check out her blog! She always has great reviews of her sponsors too, so maybe you'll find more than one new blog to read : )

Thrifty Tuesday...Taking A Break

Good morning bloggers! It's a warm and sunny Tuesday around the Nashville area. I can handle a little more fall weather before the winter sets in. The trees are still beautiful and the air is filling up with holiday buzz...everyone is gearing up for the holidays! I can't wait to see everyone for Thanksgiving in a little over two weeks (can you believe it's almost here!?).

For my Blogger Field Trip yesterday I posted about the cutest Christmas cards on Etsy, so today I will be taking a break from posting about thrifty or cute finds. Take a look at the Christmas cards here! Although I don't condone celebrating Christmas before Thanksgiving (take your time and enjoy both holidays!), I do believe in shopping ahead of time to get some great deals! So, next week I'll be back on Tuesday with some great Christmas present ideas for each of your favorite people. I can't wait to share my favorite finds with you : )

Have you found any PERFECT present ideas or amazing deals? Share with us!

P.s. Check out this very cute and printable (oh yea, and free!) blog planner on oh my! handmade goods!

Blogger Field Trip~Etsy Christmas Cards

As I mentioned last week, I love love love Christmas cards! I think that personalized cards are darn cute, but I won't be getting into that business until I have a family. Until then I'll be taking advantage of the adorable cards that are available EVERYWHERE you look. Etsy is our Blogger Field Trip location this week!
I've grabbed a few of my favorite card styles from around the Etsy community. These are super cute and there are SO many to choose from. I always have a hard time picking out my favorite box of cards each year---but if you but cards on Etsy, you could easily mix and match all of your favorites! Not to mention purchasing from Etsy is great for supporting small or local businesses!

Where do you buy your cards? Have you ever ordered Christmas cards (or any cards) from Etsy?

10 Day Challenge~7 Wants

Happy Friday! Today is the start of a long weekend and I couldn't be happier! Time to relax, visit with friends, go to the pool, cookout and visit the cabin are in my future! Have fun everyone :)

1.) I want more photography practice! I wish I had more people to shoot and more time to dedicate towards it.

2.) In addition, I want more time to dedicate towards crafting so that I can have my own Etsy shop. That would be a dream come true :)

3.) I want a puppy that stays a puppy forever! But, who doesn't?

4.) I want to wear a new outfit everyday. I love the feeling of wearing something that is new, in style and that makes me feel great!

5.) I want all of my friends and family to live close to one another. I miss the days when everyone was right down the street from one another!

6.) I want to travel more. I would prefer to go somewhere new at least once a month (short trip) and somewhere semi-far away every 6 months or so. I looove to travel!

7.) Honestly, I want to want less! I have been doing really well with that because I have been cutting back spending lately, but I still have the urge quite frequently to just get something. I guess I get a thrill out of buying things (clothes mostly :)).

Do you ever find yourself obsessing over a trend? Of course you do!

I just about always have a Chevron image as my iPhone lock screen. I switch it up between the three below. It's always nice to have a little flash of color and design where ever I go.

There you have it...my obsession!

Hopefully you're having a great Friday so far :) I can't wait to end the work week so that I can get home and catch up on my DVR shows with Ryan. This weekend should be fun since we plan on visiting with friends (at an engagement party!), relaxing by the pool and hopefully trying out a new recipe or two.
