Friday's Fancies [Pink Champagne]

It's Friday! That means it's time to party! This weekend we're heading to the outskirts of Nashville to a friend's cabin to have a birthday get together for another friend. I am looking forward to making some delicious food, seeing everyone, and just hanging out.
Speaking of partying (though I don't have to party to bring this goodness out!) I picked Pink Champagne as my favorite summer treat--the theme of this week's Friday's Fancies!

This outfit is the perfect mix of blush pink and golden hued champagne. Perfectly girlie and crisp--just like the drink. I imagine wearing something feminine like this for a bridal shower or a family brunch.

I couldn't make up my mind on the shoes. I think the teal color would really POP, but the champagne ones are just so sleek and put together. Which ones do you like??

Friday's Fancies~Holiday Party!

Oh my gosh, is it true...is it really Friday?? We made it! I feel like this week has been YEARS long! Shew, I am ready for and need the weekend. I can't wait to relax, see a few friends and get my craft on! I am happy to celebrate this Fancy day of the week with my Friday's Fancies post.  What would you wear to a holiday party? Our company is having a luncheon, not a party, so no dressy office party outfit for me this year! It was so so so hard not to pick a sparkly, shiny outfit this week! I thought I should save that idea for a NYE post since that's all I talk about every time I see a dress with sparkles!

To celebrate the almost-weekend, I'm doing my usualy link up with {AV} over at Long Distance Loving for this week's Friday Fancies fun.

As you may have heard, yesterday was World Aids day. In attempt to raise awareness and spread the word, this week's theme is Inspr(RED). Naturally, I put together an awesome RED outfit!

Join(RED) is an organization that fights to eliminate AIDS. You've probably seen the (RED) logo at several large retailers. These retailers contribute money to the global fund, so remember when you shop there that you're helping the cause!

P.s. While we're on the topic of RED, have you painted your nails with any fancy or sparkly polish this season? What did you use? I decided on some bright red polish with one sparkly nail. The sparkly polish is a little underwhelming though. I might get something a bit flashier this weekend....suggestions??

Friday Fancies~Mix & Match

Happy Friday lovelies! Although I am beyond excited that it's almost the weekend, it was so hard to get out of bed this morning--it was only 27° when I left for work!!

I'm back with another fun Friday's Fancies outfit! Did you participate this week? {AV} decided that it would be fun to mix things up a bit...literally! This week's theme was Mix and Match....we got a chance to mix prints and patterns to create a fun (fearless) look for today.  I chose to mix polka dots and lace. It's not as bold as many others will go, but for me it's a stretch. After putting theses pieces together I feel like I could wear this outfit for new years eve! It's so cute and the perfect mix of dressy and low key! Oh, and I loooove the lace skirt.

Friday's Fancies~Golden Anniversary

So I usually reserve using gold or silver for the ACCESSORIES part of an outfit, but this week is an exception to the rules!  I have linked up with {AV} again this week and the theme is Golden Anniversary! She's made it to her 50th week of hosting Friday's Fancies, so it's time to celebrate with lots of GOLD! Here's the outfit I picked out for her celebration party!

Friday Fancies~Lilly Pulitzer

It's long overdue today, but here it is! This week {AV} teamed up with Lilly Pulitzer for the Friday Fancies theme. Lilly Pulitzer released their new Jungle Glam line this week, so the inspiration for this outfit came from those items.

This outfit is actually really similar to what I'm wearing today! I love wearing a good pair of jeans and a fitted sweater. It's a comfy feel and it fits into the 'casual Friday' category in the office.

  I just absolutely adore these shoes! It seems like I can never get a perfect pair of brown shoes. It just seems so hard to find the right mix of casual and comfy in a brown dress shoe (I find TONS in black). Wish I could grab these up, like, today!

Friday's Fancies~Halloween!

Happy Friday, lovelies! I'm linking up with {AV} over on Long Distance Loving again this week. She hosts a weekly Friday Fancies party where you link up with your favorite outfit idea (put it together yourself!) for that week's theme. This week's theme is Halloween! We were able to use our imagination and pick the most elaborate Halloween outfit, regardless of price! Naturally, as a girl on a budget and who loves to get a good deal, I really enjoy picking my outfit out without having to look at prices ; )

I decided that if I could dress up as anything or anyone, I would make sure the outfit took advantage of my limitless price range! After much deliberation and some inspiration, I chose to go the the Friday's Fancies Halloween party as Kate Middleton!

What girl wouldn't dream of dressing like her for at least a night??

Friday Fancies

Happy happy Friday! It's finally here, I can't believe it!

Today I am linking up with AV over on Long Distance Loving. She hosts a weekly Friday Fancies link party where you link up to your favorite outfit idea for that week's theme. This week's theme is PINK! As you know, it's breast cancer awareness month, so it's the perfect time to work that pretty color into our outfit ideas. I do know people who have battled breast cancer and I understand how life changing it is to them.

I decided that if I could, if there was some magical way, I would support breast cancer by throwing a world wide celebratory party. This party would be for all of the survivors! It would give them a chance to get dressed up and for others to celebrate them and remind them of how strong they were during their journey and remind them of how much they have to look forward to in the future (and to help others dealing with this terrible sickness as well)!

Naturally, as the host of said party, I would need to look tip-top and come dressed in pink :) Here's what I would wear!
