Mixed Nuts

Today is a very mixed-nuts kinda day...you know, a little of this, a little of that. I know I don't have to keep explaining it to you {my lovely readers}, but I have had a hard time lately with making time for this ol' blog. It's not that I don't care, it's just hard to set aside time in the evenings. That time of the day is spent working on stuff around the house, spending time with Ryan, and planning a wedding! I'm sure y'all understand!  ------ Onto bigger and better topics. Wanna know something? Although I don't get around to blogging about my own life enough, I DO read everyone else's posts. I use Google reader, Blogger's dashboard, and I have twitter. So, your posts are front and center just about everyday.
Speaking of which, I want to share my favorite posts from around the blog world from the last few days.

Friday's Letters {winter blues}

Dear Readers, Wanna know something? The winter blues are real--and very similar to a case of the Monday's. I've had a case of the winter blues for the last month or so. I haven't been completely down and out, but I feel like the person in the commercial with the cloud following them around. Except the cloud is a dreary grey/blue and tends to snow.

Friday's Fancies~Holiday Party!

Oh my gosh, is it true...is it really Friday?? We made it! I feel like this week has been YEARS long! Shew, I am ready for and need the weekend. I can't wait to relax, see a few friends and get my craft on! I am happy to celebrate this Fancy day of the week with my Friday's Fancies post.  What would you wear to a holiday party? Our company is having a luncheon, not a party, so no dressy office party outfit for me this year! It was so so so hard not to pick a sparkly, shiny outfit this week! I thought I should save that idea for a NYE post since that's all I talk about every time I see a dress with sparkles!

Hair Do or Don't?

It's Friday and I'm so excited for this weekend! The best part about this weekend? We don't have much planned.  The temps have gone back up into the 80's so this weekend will probably be spent enjoying the last bit of summer before fall gets settled in for good :) Although we don't have much planned, I am hoping to get something done with my hair....but oh my, I can't decide what!

Let me explain. I do my hair everyday and I am so sick of it. Do you ever feel this way? I have dreamed of having long, flowy, loose curls since freshman year of high school.

Every year I grow my hair out a little and then every summer I chop it off. I go through this vicious cycle every. single. year. Well, this year has been different. I have made it through the summer and all my hair is still intact! Now, I just have to figure out the right way to achieve the look I'm going for....and the hard part, figuring out the best haircut. I also don't know if now is even the right time to get a hair cut for the loose, curls look. Maybe I should keep growing it?

See?! I'm all over the place. I need a hair stylist consultant. Anyone know one? Send 'em my way, please :)
