Fall Weekend Recap

Happy Sunday! Wow, this weekend flew by! As much as I wish the weekend was longer, I still enjoyed myself this while it lasted :)
Saturday started off with a little sleeping in followed by one of Ryan's (usual) Saturday morning breakfasts. Waking up to the smell of coffee and knowing that there are pancakes in your future make for a happy girl! We spent some time around the house for a while...but it didn't last long because we were antsy to get out and enjoy the amazing weather. We decided that Franklin would be our destination for the day and Ryan's parents, our companions :)

We met up and visited a bunch of little shops, walked around and eventually stopped for lunch at Puckett's. I'd been to the Puckett's on the other side of town, but not the one in Franklin....their BBQ  and sweet tea won me over and I plan on going back again!

After lunch we spent a long time wandering around antique malls and little businesses (looking for a bar cart for our place). After the boys were tired of antique shopping, we headed back home and spent the evening hanging around the house.

I started feeling bad (attach of the allergies) on Saturday night so I definitely slept in a little on Sunday too. We have spent the day cleaning, grocery shopping and even crafting! I finally decided on a fall wreath! I made one using some artificial flowers, thin wire and a twig wreath.

This sums up my weekend :)

I also made a quick and cute print for the dining room. I threw some tissue paper and a quote on card stock into a frame I had laying around and voila! A cute, cheap, and easy piece to add some personality to the dining room :)

Beautiful, fabulous, amazing...Hump Day

You read right...today is beautiful, fabulous AND amazing...mostly because it's hump day!

I'm over the moon just thinking about the fact that 3 days of this week are (basically) over with already. Bring on Friday! Here are a few things I've been daydreaming about this week...



I can't wait to have enough space to have a vanity!



I love looking at wine holders. We've been looking at liquor tables/chests lately and I can't wait to get a cute one.



I have been itching to go pick pumpkins! We're planning on a fun trip the weekend of the 22nd when my Aunt comes to town. Can't wait!



Cute pumkin idea! I love carving, but maybe this year I'll do something different?



I love the colors of fall! I can't wait until November...we'll be in Gatlinburg for a long weekend and the trees  are going to be beautiful!



I love, love, love seeing mums everywhere this time of year. Oh, how I wish I had my own front porch to decorate with them :)



Do I even need to say anything here?



I've been thinking about a picnic lately...maybe I'll decide on a place and surprise Ryan one day.



I've heard good things about this honeycrisp sangria recipe all over the place. I might have to try it out this weekend.
