10 Day Challenge~9 Loves

Here goes day 2 of my 10 day challenge!

1.) Cuddling. That is the best part of each and every day! From the pup & the boy :)

2.) Reaching a goal, especially when it's a long term goal.

3.) When I take a great photo I get this feeling--like I just scored a touchdown or something..I love it!

4.) The way I feel in one of 'those' outfits. You know, your favorite/newest/best outfit?! I love the feeling I get when I know I look great!

5.) When I score an amazing deal!

6.) I love the feeling that comes from being part of a wonderful group. Whether it's at work, with my friends, family, or even the crowd at a UofL sporting event. When you come together and enjoy being just a part of a whole, it's amazing! P.s. I love football and am so excited about NCAA football starting this week!

7.) Learning something new. I really enjoy discussing new ideas (to me atleast!) and learning about anything that has to do with history.

8.) Reading blogs and getting my creative juices flowing.

9.) Traveling. I really enjoy leraning my way around a new place, especially with Ryan :)

Happy Hump Day! It's all downhill and easy coasting to the weekend from here! :)

10 Day Challenge~10 Secrets

Since I haven't been updating my blog enough (by my standards),
I decided to start the 10 Day YOU Challenge to get myself moving again.

1.) I check news websites like a fiend and love to stay up to date on current events.

2.) I tell terrible jokes. (But that might not be a secret!)

3.) I love's terrible...basically an addiction. (This also might not be a secret...)

4.) If it paid, I would make being a social butterfly my full time job.

5.) I give myself a hard time every. single. day. about not exercising enough.

6.) Sometimes I wish I was in outside sales so that I could have an excuse to travel all over the place. I LOVE seeing new places.

7.) I would craft/paint/photograph every day if I could find the time. (I should try harder to do that..)

8.) I enjoy trying new recipes and sharing the results :)

9.) I am obsessed with anything that has to do with history. It's a great story that never ends!

10.) I have a small, close group of friends so I don't have many secrets!

Posting here is a long time overdue! It's been a busy few weeks with continuously getting into the swing of things with the job, commuting and enjoying the end of the summer. I can't believe it's almost September!

I finally picked out some chairs to go with our handmade table!
[Insert happy dance here].
I'll post all of that very soon. It's been great actually eating at a dining room table :)

This past weekend I got to see my best friends in Louisville! I was happy to get a chance to go out and dance with my favorite girl and just catch up. We went to a new club in Louisville--Drake's. It wasn't terrible...but we had to wait in line and it wasn't a very big place
(small venue + lots of dancing = cramped!), so I can't say it's my new favorite place.

It was such a beautiful day Saturday...we had a good time walking around the Highlands, visiting cute stores and having lunch. I got to eat both sushi and Sweet Cece's in less than 24 hours, so I was a happy girl!

When I got back to town Saturday night I was pretty tired so we didn't do much. Sunday was full of laziness and just hanging out together (the best kind of Sunday). I finally watched Something Borrowed and loved it. Ryan seemed to like it too ;) I also made an amazing Mexican lasagna. It was soo soooo good. I can't wait to eat it again!

I actually got the recipe from a magazine a while back but just tried it for the first time. I believe I got it from Real Simple, but I'm not sure?

Happy Monday!

End of Summer Bucket List

As many times as I've thought about how close fall weather is...I've also thought about what I want to do with the rest of my summer. I've thought of a bunch of little things here & there and now it's time to document these ideas so I can't forget! I decided these things my End of Summer Bucket List. I need to do some of these things a few more times before it gets cool and some of these things I need to figure out a way to squeeze it at least once.

{Just hang out}

{Try more yummy drink recipes}

{Roast marshmallows...and grill out....and go camping}

{Eat more summer specific foods...before
it's too late and while they're extra yummy!

{Take more pictures...better pictures...more sunset pictures!}

{Ride a ferris wheel...go to the carnival}
